With more than 20 years experience in the restaurant and bar industry, here at the Red Lion Inn we know the value of delivering great quality products and service.
The picturesque village of Milfield is the perfect place to experience a real flavour of the beautiful Northumberland countryside - enjoy a feel of its history and the wonderful vistas which are on par with anything the Lake District or the Southdowns has to offer.
The Red Lion Inn in Milfield is more than just a pub. It is a meeting place for the local community, playing host to groups like the Borders Gliding Club who operate from the Air Field which was used as a training base for pilots during World War II. The local Leek Growers and other social groups use the Inn as a place to meet and chat. All visitors are made very welcome, not only by us here at the Red Lion, but also by these groups and the community as a whole.
The area is famous for a number of reasons; the Air Field, Flodden Battle Field and the Anglo Saxon settlement, with its faithfully reproduced dwellings, bring lots of visitors to the region. Many visitors have remarked that it is the quality of our home cooked food and well cared for ale that brings them back time and time again!
One very kind gentleman once commented that our honey roast belly pork with bubble and squeak mash should be counted as tourist attraction.
Whether you are just be passing through, or staying for a few nights, come and see us at the Red Lion Inn, Milfield. We promise you a wonderful, traditional evening of mouth watering food, fine beer and great conversation.
